- Do your homework - Know your interviewers background
- Don't try to wing it, have your questions written down in a paper
- Don't ask yes or no questions - You want your subject to talk
- Don't ask your subject to ask at the camera, get the subject to look at you. Don't be afraid, move the camera
- Leave more space in front of the person's nose and not behind it
- No space above the subject's head - eyes should be 2/3 in the shot
- Think about the background - it says a lot about you
- Don't let your subject break the frame with their hands while they are talking
